Memorial day

Hope everyone is having a fun and safe Memorial Day. And remembering the real meaning behind the day. Its not just about having off work and family/friends bbqs.

I'm sure your Memorial Day weekend was a lot less drama filled then mine was. On Saturday night I went to sit on a cooler that had wheels and it went out from underneath me and I feel on the floor. I ended up bruising my tailbone. Since I am stubborn I just went home and went to bed, I was tired and it was late. On Sunday I had a lot of problems getting up and down. Eventually I started cramping and ended up going to the hospital. I got hooked up to the monitors and I was having contractions. They ended up keeping me overnight to monitor the contractions. Luckily they were not regular, and I didn't have any complications from the fall. Next time, which hopefully there isn't a next time I am to go straight to the hospital and not be stubborn.

The best part of coming home though was I had a little friend waiting for me. I gave him a kiss but he didn't turn into a prince. Maybe next time.

Pretty in pink

What little girl doesn't love the color pink? Who doesn't love painting? What about having pretty pink painted toes. Aubriella and Claudia decided they wanted to paint their own nails pink. Someone left pink nail polish on the computer desk within their reach and eye sight meaning it was fair game. (It was probably me who did it too.)

Now if the paint had just made it on their nails and a little bit around their fingers, it wouldn't have been so bad. But when you have 3 year olds it never turns out as clean and easy as you would hope.

The nail polish ended up all over them. From their legs ...

to the bottom of their feet.

The worst part of it all was the bottom spilled all over the hardwood floor under the computer desk. It wasn't the easiest place to get to to clean it up. I ended up using a half of a large bottle of nail polish remover to get all the nail polish off the floor and the girls. Luckily it all came up and Grandpa would have never noticed, if I wouldn't have told him.

29 weeks

29 weeks already. Reality is starting to hit that I have 11 weeks left. I have so much to do before Austin's arrival. I had my 29 weeks appointment today and everything went well.

Time for some pregnancy highlights for this week.
How Far Along Are You: 29 weeks
Size of Baby according to the bump: Acorn Squash
Total Weight Gain/Loss: According to the scale at the doctors office I have gained 13 pounds since being pregnant.
Maternity Clothes: Yes and No. I gave up wearing jeans a while ago and my dress pants so those are maternity. I did find a pair of jean shorts that still fit me though, just can't drive in them. I packed most of my regular shirts so I wear a lot of long tank tops and maternity shirts.
Gender: It's a Boy
Movement: All the time. Today he is kicking down in my pooch area. Brian finally got to feel a "hard kick" and said oh that little thing.
Sleep: As long as I get comfortable I can sleep until I have to pee.
Cravings: Rootbeer floats, wings, milkshakes
Symptoms: Cramping, feeling lots of kicking and movements, leg pain and numbness in hands, peeing all the time
Best Moment (s) this week: Brian finally being able to feel Austin move inside of me.

Happy Mothers Day

Happy Mothers Day to all the moms. step moms, moms to be, grandmothers, aunts, and fathers who have stepped it up. This also include moms of fur babies and especially moms who has lost their little ones. This day is really a day for everyone to appreciate the women in their life and everything they do for you.
This morning I got to pick up Aubriella from her fathers house since it was his weekend. She was so cute on the drive home singing Happy Mothers Day and Happy Ella's Day. I don't know how it became her day. When we got home she asked for her present. I told her she didn't get a present that she was suppose to get me a present. Then grandma took her in the bedroom to give her my present to bring to me.

Unfortunately after that I had to go to work for a few hours. When I was leaving Ella told me you can't go to work it is Mothers day. She is just so sweet. I wish it worked that way.
While at work I got a surprise visit from Brian. He brought me flowers, candy and a wonderful card. You can tell I am emotional and hormonal when I start crying when I read the card he got me. He can't just buy a card and sign it, he has to write inside it to.

When I got home from work I had an extremely crabby butt who was in need of a nap. I tried for a good hour to get her to lay down in the bed room but was unsuccessful. I ended up taking her for a 40 minute drive to put her to sleep. The first half of the drive she was just a chatty Cathy but was being good. I ended up turning around to start heading back home and she was out within 3 minutes. Then slept for a good 2 hours and was well behaved the rest of the evening.
Over all I had a good Mothers Day. How was your Mother's Day? What did your kids do/get for you?

28 Weeks and Counting

I can't believe I am already 28 weeks and 3 days pregnant already. Where has the time gone. It seems like an eternity especially since I found out when I was only around 3 and a half weeks. This pregnancy, like my first one has been a roller coaster ride. At times I wish I could have easy pregnancies, but at the same time I think I look at things differently since I know I will not be having a million kids. (yes I may be exaggerating a little, well maybe a lot)

I have had a lot of excitement this pregnancy with being in the hospital multiple times, having to be transferred from one to another, multiple tests, bed rest ... I could go on but more on that later. My real excitement is

Im so excited to be having a boy. Brian is even more excited since this is his first child and a boy and will also carry his last name. Before we even knew what sex he was officially, I had a feeling it was a boy already and most people did guess a boy, we had already agreed on a boy name.

The middle name is a also a family name which I love carrying on the tradition. Brian has also came up with a theme for the nursery of pirates, but I said it has to be cute pirates. I can't wait until we get into the house and he has the room done.
My next doctors appointment is on Monday. I will have a complete update of where we stand in this pregnancy then.
